Uniform, labeled bins change holiday setup completely
The difference between dreading decorating and enjoying it is usually the storage. When decor lives in a jumble of torn boxes, store bags and mismatched containers, every season starts with an hour of searching. We consolidate it into matching, stackable bins labeled by holiday and by room, so you can pull exactly the box you need.
A bin labeled Christmas, Living Room Mantel or Halloween, Front Porch tells you where it goes before you open it, and helps everyone in the house help you decorate.
Heat is the biggest risk to holiday decor in Las Vegas
Most families store seasonal decor in the garage, and in most of the country that is fine. In Las Vegas, garages can reach extreme temperatures from June through September, and many decorations do not survive it well. Candles melt and warp, glued ornaments come apart, plastic gets brittle, light strands and inflatables degrade, and printed photos or family keepsakes fade.
We sort decor into what tolerates the garage and what should come inside. Heat-tolerant items such as metal stands, outdoor wreath frames and sturdy plastic pieces can stay in the garage, ideally on high shelves or overhead racks. Fragile ornaments, candles, battery-powered pieces, fabric stockings and sentimental items move to an interior closet, under-stair space or high bedroom shelf. Our guide on storing holiday decorations in a hot garage explains these choices in detail.
| Usually fine in the garage | Better kept indoors |
|---|---|
| Metal wreath frames and stands | Candles and wax decor |
| Sturdy outdoor plastic pieces | Glass and glued ornaments |
| Artificial tree in a quality bag | String lights and electronics |
| Outdoor extension cords | Stockings, tree skirts and fabric |
| Large lawn decor | Photos, kids' handmade ornaments, heirlooms |
Editing the collection before it goes back in bins
Holiday decor tends to multiply, especially in families who host or who have inherited decorations. We lay out each holiday's collection and help you decide what you still love, what is broken and what could be passed along. Decorations in good condition can go to local donation options such as Opportunity Village or Goodwill of Southern Nevada, if you choose, and we take a carload with us at the end of the session.
Inherited and sentimental pieces get special care. We wrap them, label them and store them where they are protected. Our guide on decluttering sentimental items can help when those decisions feel heavy.

The best timing for a holiday decor project
The ideal time is right after a holiday, when everything is already out and you remember what you used. January is perfect for winter holiday decor, and it falls within our garage season, which runs mid-October through April. We can sort decor, set up indoor storage and organize garage shelves in a single visit.
If your decor is part of a larger garage project, our garage organization service handles shelving, zones and the full footprint. A garage plus holiday decor project often takes a full day, around $1,200.
