Modern architecture leaves nowhere to hide clutter
MacDonald Highlands climbs the foothills on the east side of Henderson, with views across the valley to the Strip. It is guard-gated, built around the private DragonRidge Country Club golf course, and known for large custom homes, many of them contemporary in style with walls of glass and open plans.
In a house like that, storage is often hidden behind flat-panel cabinetry, while display areas, from open kitchen shelves to glass-front closets, are on view all the time. The work is split in two: making concealed storage efficient, and keeping visible storage edited and calm.
Glass closets and dressing rooms
A lit, glass-front closet looks beautiful when it is curated and chaotic when it is not. We group clothing by type and color, use matching hangers so lines stay clean, and reserve the most visible shelves for pieces you want to see, such as handbags, shoes or folded knits.
Everything else, including off-season clothing, workout gear and items waiting for tailoring, goes into drawers or closed bins. That way the closet stays presentable even on a busy week. Our luxury closet organization service covers dressing rooms in detail.
Kitchens with open shelving and hidden pantries
Many modern kitchens here pair a minimal front kitchen with a working scullery or hidden pantry behind it. We keep the front kitchen to what looks good and is used daily, and move small appliances, bulk food and prep tools into the back where they can be arranged for speed rather than looks.
For open shelves, we choose a restrained set of dishes and glassware and leave space between pieces. It is easier to keep up and reads as intentional instead of crowded.
Drawers get the same thinking. Utensils, wraps, spices and linens each get dividers sized to what you actually own, so a drawer opens to a single, readable layer instead of a tangle.

Wine, bar and entertaining storage
Wine walls and bar rooms are common in MacDonald Highlands homes. We organize bottles by how you use them, everyday versus cellar, red versus white, or by region if that is how you think, and label racks discreetly so anyone pouring can find the right bottle.
Glassware, decanters, bar tools and mixers are placed together near the bar, and serving pieces for larger events are stored by occasion. Wine stays inside the conditioned home, never in the garage, where Las Vegas summer heat can ruin it quickly.
Scheduling, gate access and the people who run the house
Because our studio is a short drive away in Cadence, MacDonald Highlands projects are simple to schedule, including multi-day projects and shorter refresh visits later. Please register our team with the gate before each visit.
If you have a house manager, assistant or regular housekeeper, we include them in the final walk-through so the systems are maintained consistently. We also coordinate with your designer or closet company when cabinetry is new or being refreshed, though carpentry stays with them.
