Pet supplies work best in three zones
Most pet clutter comes from supplies scattered around the house. We consolidate them into three zones: a feeding station, a walk-out kit by the door, and a storage area for backstock, grooming and medicine.
The feeding station is near where your pet eats, with food in an airtight container, bowls on a mat, and a scoop. The walk-out kit is near the door you use for walks, with leashes, waste bags, a water bottle and paw wipes. The storage area holds everything else, labeled by category.
Keeping pet food fresh in Las Vegas heat
Pet food is sensitive to heat, humidity and air. In Las Vegas, storing kibble or treats in the garage in summer can cause oils in the food to go rancid faster, and canned food can be affected by extreme heat. We move food storage indoors, usually to a pantry, laundry room or mudroom cabinet.
Many pet owners keep food in its original bag inside an airtight container, which helps preserve freshness and keeps the lot information handy. We set that up and label containers by pet if you have more than one. Medications are best kept somewhere cool and dry, away from the bathroom steam and out of reach. Our guide on keeping pantry food fresh in Las Vegas heat covers similar principles for people food.
Walks, heat and the desert routine
Las Vegas pets have a different routine in summer: early-morning and late-evening walks, extra water, and gear like cooling vests or booties to protect paws from hot pavement. We give those seasonal items a place in the walk-out kit from May through September, and store them in a labeled bin during the cooler months.
Dust and dry air also mean more grooming. Brushes, wipes and grooming tools get a single bin or caddy, close to where you groom, so they are easy to grab.
- Walk-out kit: leashes, waste bags, water bottle, paw wipes, summer booties
- Feeding station: airtight food bins, scoop, bowls and a washable mat
- Toy basket: a small rotation, with extras stored to keep things fresh
- Grooming caddy: brushes, nail tools, shampoo and towels
- Health bin: medications, records and flea and tick products, stored high

Toys, beds and the rest of the house
Pet toys multiply as quickly as kids' toys. We help you keep a small rotation out and store the rest in a labeled bin, swapping them occasionally so they feel new. Worn toys go out at your direction.
Beds, crates and carriers are bulky, so we plan storage for travel carriers on a high shelf or in an under-stair closet. If your pets share the laundry room or mudroom, our mudroom and drop zone organization and laundry room organization services include pet zones as part of the plan.
Cost and scheduling
Pet supplies are usually a smaller part of a larger session, often taking an hour or two. Clients typically combine them with a pantry, mudroom, laundry room or garage within a four-hour block. Larger whole-home projects with pet zones in several rooms are more often a full day around $1,200. Our home organization for families work often includes pets as part of the family system.
