File folding makes everything visible
Most drawers are packed with stacks, so you see only the top item and the rest gets forgotten. We refold clothing so it stands upright in rows, like files in a cabinet. When you open the drawer, you see every t-shirt, pair of leggings or sweater at once.
File folding also fits more into each drawer and keeps items neat when you pull one out. We show you the fold so it is easy to keep up after laundry.
Not everything should be file-folded. Delicate knits, bulky sweatshirts and structured pieces sometimes do better rolled, stacked low or hung in the closet instead. We decide item by item, so the drawer serves the clothing rather than the other way around, and nothing gets stretched just to fit a method.
A layout that matches how you dress
We plan drawers from the top down based on frequency. The top drawer holds what you reach for every day; lower drawers hold items used less often.
- Top drawer: undergarments, socks and sleepwear with small dividers
- Second drawer: everyday tops and t-shirts, file-folded
- Third drawer: bottoms, leggings and shorts
- Fourth drawer: workout clothing and swimwear
- Bottom drawer: sweaters, loungewear or off-season items
Las Vegas wardrobes are light and year-round
Because Las Vegas has short, mild winters and long, hot summers, most people wear the same light layers most of the year. That means dresser drawers carry a lot of t-shirts, tanks, shorts, workout clothing and swimwear, and very few heavy sweaters.
We plan accordingly. Summer essentials get the most reachable drawers, and the small number of cold-weather pieces go to a bottom drawer or a lidded bin from spring through fall. Swimwear and cover-ups often get their own drawer because they are used so often here. For more on seasonal changes, see our guide to the seasonal closet swap in Las Vegas and storing winter clothes in a hot climate.

Editing comes before folding
We empty every drawer and sort by category, then help you decide what to keep. Stretched, stained or faded items, clothing that no longer fits and pieces you never reach for are the easiest decisions. Everything you let go of can go into the carload of donations we take at the end of the session, if you choose.
Once the edit is done, we measure drawers and add dividers or small bins only where they help. We return any products we do not use.
Dressers in kids' rooms, guest rooms and closets
Children's dressers work best with fewer categories, picture labels and a drawer for pajamas they can reach themselves. Guest room dressers can be left mostly empty with a few extras, such as a blanket or spare towels. Closet island drawers follow the same principles as a dresser, with accessories in the shallow drawers.
Dresser work is usually part of a larger bedroom or closet project. Our primary bedroom organization and walk-in closet organization services both include drawers. For kids, see kids closet organization. A bedroom with dressers and closet is often a full day, around $1,200.
