The primary bedroom should feel restful first
The primary bedroom is often the last room people organize, because guests never see it. Yet it is the room that sets the tone for your mornings and evenings. We start by asking how you want the room to feel and what currently gets in the way: laundry on a chair, a desk that crept in, boxes from the move, or a nightstand piled high.
Then we plan the room around rest. Surfaces are kept mostly clear, and items that belong elsewhere, such as paperwork, kids' toys, workout gear or packages, go back to their proper rooms.
What we organize in a primary bedroom
We work through each zone in the room so the whole space is calm, not just one corner.
| Zone | What we set up |
|---|---|
| Nightstands | A small tray, a charging spot and a drawer for books, lotion and glasses |
| Dressers | Drawers edited and folded so each item is visible |
| Bench or chair | A defined spot for tomorrow's outfit, not a clothing pile |
| Sitting area | Books, throws and a lamp, with nothing stored on the floor |
| Under the bed | Lidded bins for off-season bedding or clothing |
| Closet and bath | Connected systems so laundry and getting ready flow |
Las Vegas suites are often large, which brings its own challenges
Many primary suites in Summerlin, Henderson and the valley's guard-gated communities include a large walk-in closet, a sitting area and a spacious bath. That much space is a gift, but it can also attract storage that does not belong there. Moving boxes, gift wrap, luggage and seasonal items often end up in a corner or under the bed.
We help you decide what belongs in the suite and what should move to the garage, the casita or a storage closet. Because winters here are short, most bedding and clothing swaps are light, and we usually store a heavier comforter and a few sweaters in lidded bins rather than giving them prime space. Fine dust also settles quickly on open surfaces, so fewer items out means less dusting.

Couples, shared spaces and his-and-hers closets
Shared bedrooms work better when each person's space is clearly defined. We set up separate nightstand and dresser zones, a shared area for common items, and closet sections that work for both people. Our guide on sharing a closet as a couple covers the closet side.
When the closet is the main problem, our walk-in closet organization service handles clothing, shoes, bags and accessories in depth. For vanities and the bath, see vanity and makeup organization.
How a primary suite project usually runs
We start with the bedroom surfaces, because clearing them gives the quickest sense of relief. Then we move to dressers and under-bed storage, and finally the closet and bath if they are part of the project. We source products such as drawer dividers, nightstand trays and under-bed bins only as needed, and return what goes unused.
A bedroom alone usually fits a four-hour session. A full suite with walk-in closet and bath is often a full day, around $1,200. For a DIY approach, see how to organize a primary bedroom.
