Garages take longer than most rooms because almost everything has to come out
The garage is where everything without a home ends up: moving boxes that never got opened, sports gear, holiday decor, tools, pool supplies, paint and the things nobody decided about. Sorting that volume is what drives the hours.
The team pulls items onto the driveway by category, you make keep, donate, sell and discard calls, and then the space is zoned and set up. A two-car garage with moderate storage often fits a long single day. A three-car or tandem garage with years of accumulation commonly needs more than one day or a larger team.
Rough guide to garage project length
Use these ranges to budget, then confirm at the consultation. A garage can surprise everyone once the first layer of boxes comes down.
| Garage situation | Typical length | Cost guide |
|---|---|---|
| Small garage, items mostly sorted, needs zones | Four hours to a full day | From around $600 |
| Two-car garage with mixed storage | About a full day | Around $1,200 |
| Three-car or tandem garage, heavy accumulation | One to several days | Around $1,200 per full day |
| Garage full of unopened moving boxes | Multiple days, often with a larger team | Set after consultation |
Why garage season runs mid-October through April
Summer garages in the valley get far hotter than the outdoor reading, which makes hours of lifting and sorting unsafe. So Sorted Spaces schedules garage organizing only in the cooler months, and those dates fill up.
Planning ahead helps you get the day you want. If you contact us in late summer, you can be on the calendar for the first cool weeks. Our guide to the best time to organize a garage in Las Vegas explains the timing in more depth.

Product costs in a garage can be larger, so plan them deliberately
Garages often need sturdier products than indoor rooms: heavy-duty bins with lids, wall hooks for bikes and yard tools, labeled shelving bins for holiday decor. Those are billed separately from the organizing time, sourced for you, and anything unused goes back.
Carpentry, cabinet installs and overhead racks that bolt into the ceiling are trades work, not organizing work. The team can plan the layout and coordinate with a handyman or installer you hire. Heat also limits what belongs in a garage at all; candles, wine, electronics, photos and paint do poorly there, as covered in what not to store in a Las Vegas garage.
- Lidded bins that keep fine desert dust off stored items
- Clear labels readable from the car
- Wall-mounted hooks and rails for bikes, golf bags and tools
- Donation and junk-removal coordination for what is leaving
How to keep a garage project from running long
Decide on obvious exits before the team arrives, such as broken furniture, old paint and toys the kids have outgrown. Booking junk removal for the afternoon of the session clears the driveway before evening.
Also tell the team which categories matter most. If parking two cars is the goal, the plan looks different than if the garage needs to hold a workshop or a home gym. The garage organization service page and the main pricing overview cover the rest.
