Lakeside living brings its own category of gear
Desert Shores, on the eastern edge of Summerlin, is known for its man-made lakes, and homes along the water often open onto patios and outdoor rooms facing the lake. That lifestyle generates a lot of stuff: cushions, umbrellas, outdoor dinnerware, string lights, bikes and the strollers or wagons that go out on the lakeside paths.
We give that gear a dedicated zone, typically a set of labeled bins in the garage or a patio closet, sorted by activity. Cushions go in breathable covers, bikes and wagons get wall hooks or a floor zone by the garage door, and outdoor entertaining pieces get a shelf near the slider. Our pool and patio storage page covers the details.
- Outdoor dining and serving pieces grouped by the door to the patio
- Bikes, wagons and walking gear parked in one labeled zone
- Cushions and textiles kept covered against fine desert dust
- Pool chemicals stored safely and away from living areas
Older floor plans get more from smarter products
Homes built around the time Desert Shores went up often have reach-in closets, shallow linen closets and kitchens with fewer drawers than buyers expect today. Rather than a remodel, the right organizing products can change how those spaces work.
We add double-hang rods where the closet allows it, shelf risers in linen closets, pull-out bins in deep cabinets and over-door storage in pantries. Each product is chosen after we edit and measure, not before. A reach-in closet guide shows the kinds of changes that help most.
Many homes from this period also have a formal living or dining room that sees little use. With some editing, that space can take on a second job, such as a library wall, a homework table or a hobby corner, with closed storage so it still looks like a room for guests.
The garage: a mid-October to April project
Like every garage in the valley, a Desert Shores garage gets dangerously hot in summer, so we only book garage days between mid-October and April. Those months go quickly, and we suggest reaching out early.
We sort by category, edit with you, then zone the walls: tools and hardware in one area, holiday decor in labeled totes overhead, sports and patio gear near the door. Items such as candles, photos, wine and electronics move indoors, where heat will not damage them.

What a Desert Shores day looks like
We arrive from our Henderson studio in Cadence with the products agreed on during planning. We confirm the plan with you, then work one space at a time, checking in whenever there is a decision to make.
Before we leave, we clear packaging, stage donations and walk you through where everything now lives. Smaller projects start around $600 with a four-hour minimum; full-day projects typically run around $1,200. Unused products are returned on your behalf.
Getting ready to sell or rent out a lake home
Waterfront homes photograph well when the rooms look open. Before listing, we help clear counters, edit closets so buyers see their size, and organize the garage so it reads as storage rather than a problem.
If you are moving, our packing services can take over room by room once the editing is done. We pack and label; your moving company handles the transport.
