Green Valley homes carry years of history, so decluttering comes first
Green Valley is one of the earliest master-planned communities in the Las Vegas Valley, developed in northwest Henderson from the late 1970s and 1980s onward. Its neighborhoods have mature trees, parks and walking paths, and homes from the 1980s and 1990s are common, along with later additions and remodels.
Older floor plans tend to have smaller pantries, reach-in closets and fewer built-ins than newer homes. Pair that with decades of living, and most projects start with sorting rather than shopping. Once there is less to store, the existing storage usually turns out to be enough.
How a decluttering session runs
We work one area at a time so progress is visible. Everything in that area is grouped by category, and you decide what stays, what goes to donation, what is sold and what is discarded. We never make those decisions for you.
What stays gets a planned home, and what goes is bagged, boxed and labeled for drop-off. Well-known options in the valley include Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Opportunity Village, The Salvation Army and the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for furniture and building materials. Our decluttering services page has more detail.
Sentimental items get their own pace. Photos, letters and children’s keepsakes are often set aside in a labeled box to review later, so they do not stall the rest of the room.
Rooms that tend to need the most help
Every home is different, but in established Green Valley houses a few spaces come up again and again.
- Spare bedrooms that turned into storage when the kids moved out
- Hall and linen closets holding extra towels, old bedding and medicine cabinet overflow
- Kitchen cabinets with deep corners and an older pantry that needs bins and risers to work
- Garages that have absorbed holiday decor, tools, paperwork and things meant to be dealt with later
- Home offices where decades of paper files need sorting into what to keep and what to shred

Preparing a Green Valley home for sale or a move
Buyers notice storage. Cleared counters, half-empty closets and an orderly garage make an older home feel larger in photos and showings. We help you edit each room, pack what you will not need before the move and organize what remains so it shows well.
If you are moving, we can pack room by room with clear labels and unpack at the new home, while your movers handle the truck. See our page on organizing before selling your home for how we sequence that work.
Close to home for us, which helps
Our studio is in Cadence, also in Henderson, so Green Valley is an easy drive. That makes it simple to split a large decluttering job into several shorter visits, which many people find less tiring than one marathon day.
Garage work is scheduled between mid-October and April. The rest of the house can be organized any month of the year.

| Project size | Starting point |
|---|---|
| Focused session, such as one closet or the pantry | Around $600 with a four-hour minimum |
| Full day, often several rooms or a garage | Around $1,200 with an eight-hour minimum |
| Organizing products | Added only if needed; unused items returned |
