Buyers open every door, so storage has to look generous
During a showing, buyers open closets, pantries and cabinets to judge storage. A packed closet reads as too small, even if it is large. A pantry with half-empty shelves and grouped items reads as roomy.
We edit each storage space so it holds noticeably less than its capacity, with items grouped and front-facing. Most of what comes out gets pre-packed for the move.
The same goes for bathroom vanities and kitchen counters. Clearing them down to a few chosen items makes rooms look larger in listing photos, and it makes the daily reset before a showing take minutes rather than an hour.
Pre-packing is the step most sellers skip
You will need to pack eventually, so packing early does two jobs at once. Off-season clothes, extra kitchenware, books, decor, hobby supplies and most keepsakes can go into labeled boxes weeks before the sale closes.
We pack by room and category and label every box, so the boxes are useful at the other end too. Stack them neatly in one area, a storage unit or a portable container. Avoid long-term storage in a hot Las Vegas garage for photos, electronics, candles, wine or anything heat-sensitive. Our packing services page explains how we label.
- Pack now: off-season clothes, books, decor, extra dishes, keepsakes, hobby gear
- Edit now: closets, pantry, kitchen counters, bathroom vanities, garage
- Keep out: daily clothes, a basic kitchen, toiletries, kids' school things, work gear
- Set aside: a box of paperwork and valuables that travels with you
The garage counts too, and the calendar matters
In Las Vegas, two- and three-car garages are a selling point, and buyers notice when they are packed to the ceiling. A clear floor and organized shelves help buyers picture their own cars and gear there.
Garage organizing runs mid-October through April because of summer heat. If you plan to list in late spring or summer, book the garage before the hot months start. Our page on the best time to organize a garage in Las Vegas has the details.

Working with your realtor and stager
We fit into the listing timeline your agent sets. A typical order is declutter and pre-pack, then any handyman fixes, then staging, then cleaning and photos. We can coordinate with handymen and junk removal so the house is ready for the stager.
Realtors who want an organizing partner for listings can read about our organizing services for realtors. We do not stage homes ourselves; we prepare the contents so staging and photos go smoothly.
Decluttering what will not make the move
Selling is the natural moment to let go of things you do not want to pay to move. You decide what goes. Up to a carload of pre-listing donations can leave with us at the end of a session, and we can schedule junk removal for anything larger.
Options in the valley include Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Opportunity Village and the Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas ReStore for furniture. Our guide on what to declutter before moving can help you start.

Cost of pre-listing organizing
Pre-listing help starts around $600 for a four-hour minimum. Larger homes usually need one or more full days, which run around $1,200 each for eight hours. Products are rarely needed for a listing; the focus is editing, grouping and packing.
We give you a recommended plan and time estimate after a free consultation, ideally a few weeks before your listing date.
