A historic neighborhood with lots of land and a lot of character
The Scotch 80s sits in central Las Vegas just west of I-15 and downtown, around Charleston Boulevard and Rancho Drive. It is known for big lots, mature trees, and custom homes in a wide range of styles, many dating from the middle of the last century, with others rebuilt or added later.
Unlike master-planned communities, no two homes here are alike. One may be a single-story ranch with a long hallway of bedrooms; the next, a modern rebuild with open living space and large closets. We start every project by walking the home with you to understand how its layout actually works.
Ranch layouts: long hallways, many rooms, uneven storage
Older ranch-style homes often have plenty of rooms but uneven storage: generous closets in one wing and almost none in another. We look at the whole house and assign each closet and cabinet a clear job, so the hall linen closet holds linens, the office closet holds files and supplies, and the guest room closet is not a catch-all.
Where storage is scarce, organizing products do the heavy lifting: freestanding shelving in a closet, under-bed bins, and drawer dividers in older built-ins. If you want custom cabinetry added, we can work alongside the carpenter or closet company you hire.
Original built-ins, such as hallway cabinets or a cedar closet, are often worth keeping and simply need a clearer purpose.
Renovations, additions and setting up the new rooms
Many Scotch 80s owners renovate, whether updating a mid-century kitchen or adding a primary suite. When the work is done, we unpack and organize the new spaces so they start out right, with drawer inserts, shelf risers and labels sized to the new cabinetry.
If you are about to begin, we can pack rooms by category before demolition so the right things come back to the right place. Our page on post-renovation home organization explains how we coordinate with contractors.

Big lots bring garages, workshops and sheds
Larger properties tend to have detached garages, workshops, casitas and storage sheds. Over the years these fill with tools, building materials, outdoor furniture and family overflow.
We sort what is there, group tools and materials, set aside items for donation or junk removal you arrange, and shelve what stays in labeled bins. Summer heat inside a detached structure in Las Vegas is extreme, so we schedule outbuilding and garage work from mid-October through April and move paint, chemicals, photos, candles and electronics into conditioned space.
- Tools grouped by task, with hand tools on pegboard or wall rails
- Building materials and leftover tile or paint labeled by project
- Outdoor furniture cushions in lidded bins against dust
- Hobby gear in its own zone, separate from household storage
Logistics and cost for central Las Vegas
The Scotch 80s is a drive across the valley from our studio in Cadence in Henderson, usually via the 215 and I-15. Some streets are gated or private, so please tell us how to get in when you book.
Smaller projects start around $600 with a four-hour minimum. Larger homes and outbuildings usually need a full day or more, typically around $1,200 for eight hours. Products are added only when needed, and we return anything unused.
Because the neighborhood is close to downtown, many owners have busy schedules. We can work while you are out once the main keep and donate decisions are made, and walk you through the finished rooms at the end.
