Active retirement fills a home with hobbies
Residents of an active-adult community like Siena tend to have more pursuits, not fewer: golf, pickleball, painting, quilting, woodworking, book clubs and travel. Each comes with supplies, and in a home sized for two, those supplies compete with everyday living.
We give each hobby a defined home with its own labeled containers, so a quilting project can come out and go back in minutes. A spare bedroom often becomes a dedicated studio. See how we approach a craft room, which works just as well for painters, scrapbookers and model builders.
- Supplies grouped by project, not by store
- Works in progress in clear, lidded bins
- Frequently used tools at counter height
- Reference books and patterns on one shelf
A guest room that works for grandchildren and friends
Visits from family are a big part of life here, and the guest room often doubles as storage between them. We clear a drawer or two and a section of closet for guests, store toys and kid-size bedding in labeled bins, and keep a basket of travel-size toiletries ready.
When visitors leave, resetting the room takes a few minutes instead of an afternoon. If you also have a casita or flex room, we can set it up the same way.
For families with young grandchildren, we also set up a small play basket and a shelf of books in the living area, so toys have somewhere to go at the end of the day. Breakables move up and out of reach during visits and back down when the house is quiet again.
Travel-ready closets for frequent trips
Many Siena residents travel often or spend part of the year elsewhere. A travel station in the closet, with packing cubes, chargers, adapters and a short checklist, makes leaving easier and coming home calmer.
We also organize the primary closet so seasonal and occasion wear stays separate from daily pieces. Las Vegas winters are short, so heavier layers can live up high most of the year. Luggage gets a home in a closet or the garage, depending on how often you use it; our luggage and travel gear storage page has more.

Golf gear and the garage, done between October and April
Siena has its own golf course, and many homes keep clubs, shoes and a cart-side bag near the garage door. We set up a golf station there so everything for a round lives in one spot.
The garage itself is a cool-season project. We schedule garage work from mid-October through April because summer heat makes a closed garage unsafe to work in. During the project we also move heat-sensitive items, including photos, paint, candles and medications, into the house.
How we schedule work inside the gates
Siena is guard-gated, so we confirm our names and arrival time with you before each visit. We travel from our studio in Cadence, Henderson, to Siena and the rest of Summerlin, and plan sessions around your tee times, classes and travel dates.
Shorter sessions start around $600 with a four-hour minimum, which suits a single closet or a craft room. Larger projects, such as a garage or several rooms, are usually full days, typically around $1,200. Products are added only as needed, and we return anything that goes unused.
