Casitas work best with one clear job
Casitas and next-gen suites are common in Las Vegas homes, from new builds in Henderson and Southwest Las Vegas to custom estates in Summerlin and the guard-gated communities. They are also the spaces most likely to become storage by accident. Moving boxes, holiday decor, exercise equipment and a spare mattress drift in because the door can be closed.
We start by asking what the space is for. A guest casita, a suite for an aging parent, a teenager's semi-independent room and a home office each need different storage and different things within reach.
Clearing the overflow comes first
Most casita projects begin with sorting the items that do not belong. We group them, help you decide what to keep, donate or discard, and find each kept item a proper home elsewhere in the house. Heat-sensitive items such as photos, candles and electronics should not be moved to the garage in summer, so we plan indoor homes for them.
If the overflow is large, a decluttering session may come first, followed by the casita setup. We can take up to a carload of donations with us at the end.
How we set up a casita for guests
Guests should be able to settle in without asking where anything is. We set up the space so it feels like a small, well-run hotel room.
- Closet cleared with matching hangers, a luggage rack spot and empty drawers
- A complete set of bedding stored in the casita, plus extra pillows and a light blanket
- Towels, including pool towels, in the bathroom or closet
- A small basket of toiletries, a phone charger and spare toothbrushes
- Kitchenette or coffee station with mugs, coffee, tea and a few snacks
- A simple card or binder with wifi, door codes and house notes if you like

Next-gen suites for family members
When a parent, adult child or relative moves into a suite, the space needs to hold their life, not a guest's weekend. We unpack and organize their clothing, kitchen items, paperwork and personal belongings, and set things at heights and in places that suit how they move around.
For a parent who is downsizing into a suite, the work often starts before the move. Our senior move organizer service helps decide what comes, and our guide to organizing a home for aging in place covers practical layout ideas. We keep the process respectful and let the person moving lead the decisions.
Las Vegas casitas get extra pressure in peak season
Visitors come to Las Vegas year-round, and the cooler months bring the most houseguests, holiday visitors and snowbird family. That makes fall a popular time to book a casita reset. Pool season brings its own needs: towels, sunscreen and a spot for wet swimsuits, especially if the casita doubles as a pool house. Our guide on how to organize a casita covers the DIY version.
A casita with a kitchenette, bath and closet usually fits a four-hour block. Combining it with a guest room in the main house, the linen closet and overflow storage often makes it a full day, around $1,200.
