Draw a line between business and home first
The hardest part of a home business is that it spreads. Product boxes appear in the dining room, shipping supplies take over the kitchen counter and client files sit next to school forms. Before buying a single bin, we decide with you where the business is allowed to live and where it isn't.
That boundary might be one room, a casita, a section of the garage plus a closet, or a set of cabinets in a shared office. Once it's agreed, everything business-related goes there and everything household goes back to the house.
What we organize for home businesses
The work depends on what you do. A seller of handmade goods needs a different setup from a consultant, a bookkeeper or a photographer, but the building blocks overlap.
- Product and material storage with labeled bins by line or SKU
- A shipping or packing station with boxes, mailers, tape, printer and scale within reach
- A desk and paperwork system separating business records from household papers
- Client-facing areas, such as a casita studio or a consult room, kept neat and free of household items
- Equipment storage for cameras, tools, craft supplies or samples
- A reorder list for supplies, with simple minimums noted on labels
Las Vegas garages and casitas need a plan for heat
Many valley homes have three-car or tandem garages and detached casitas, which make tempting business spaces. The garage, though, can get far hotter than the house in summer, and that can ruin candles, soap, cosmetics, food products, adhesives, printed materials and electronics. We help you decide what can safely stay in the garage and what has to come inside.
Casitas are often a better fit for inventory or a studio because they're usually cooled with the house or on their own system. Our casita and guest suite organization page covers how those spaces get set up. Garage organizing runs mid-October through April because of the heat.

The workspace is where your day starts
A desk that has to be cleared every morning costs time and focus. We set up the desk with only today's tools on the surface, reference materials a step away and archived records stored and labeled. Cords, chargers and devices get their own homes.
If you work from a home office that also serves the family, we zone it so business files and supplies are clearly separate. Our home office organization service covers that space in more detail, and the guide on how to organize cords and chargers helps with the tangle behind the desk.
How a home business project runs
We start with a free consultation to see the space and understand the business. On the first session, we pull everything out, sort business from household and set up the business zones. Household items that drifted into the workspace go back to their rooms, or into donation if you choose.
We source containers sized to your products and return anything unused. You make every decision about what to keep. We don't build shelving or install cabinetry, but we can recommend what would help so a handyman can install it before we organize.
