A new build is the easiest home you will ever organize, if you start before the boxes
A newly built home has no old habits, no overstuffed drawers and no previous owner's shelf liner, which makes it the cleanest possible starting point. The catch is that the window is short. Once boxes get emptied into the nearest cabinet, those placements tend to stick for years.
That is why we like to plan the kitchen, pantry and primary closet before moving day, using your floor plan or a walk-through after the builder's final orientation. We decide where dishes, everyday glasses, spices, cleaning supplies and small appliances should live, so unpacking becomes putting things away rather than finding a place for them.
Builder-standard storage usually needs help to work well
Most production homes in Las Vegas come with simple storage: a run of wire shelving in the pantry and closets, deep corner cabinets, a few drawers and an empty garage. It holds things, but it rarely holds them in a way that is easy to see and reach.
We fill the gaps with organizing products sized to your actual shelves: turntables for those corner cabinets, drawer dividers, shelf risers, clear pantry bins and labeled baskets for wire closet shelves. We measure first, buy only what the plan calls for and handle returns of anything unused. If you want built-in closet systems or added cabinetry, we can coordinate with a closet company or handyman you choose; we do not build or install carpentry ourselves.
- Pantry: zones for breakfast, snacks, baking and backstock on wire or melamine shelves
- Kitchen: drawer layouts near the range and dishwasher, corner-cabinet access, under-sink caddies
- Primary closet: hanging sections by category, folded zones, shoe and bag placement
- Laundry and linen: detergents, towels and sheets set up where you will actually use them
- Garage: a plan for shelving and zones, scheduled for the cooler months
How the project runs
- Share your floor plan and move date
Send the builder floor plan or a few photos from your orientation walk, plus your closing and delivery dates.
- We map every storage space
We plan the kitchen, pantry, closets, baths and laundry, and list the products worth buying before you move in.
- Your movers deliver
Boxes go to the right rooms. Clear room labels help, and our guide on how to label moving boxes shows a simple system.
- We unpack, organize and label
We put items away by plan, install organizing products, break down boxes and remove packing materials.
How a new construction move-in works with us
The project usually runs in two parts: planning before you get the keys, then hands-on unpacking once your movers have delivered. Your moving company handles transport; we handle the unpacking, organizing and product setup.
Many new-build owners in Cadence, Inspirada, Skye Canyon and Summerlin's newer villages close on a builder-set date that can shift. We plan around that and schedule unpacking sessions once your delivery date is firm.

Las Vegas details that change a new-home setup
Desert climate shapes where things should go from the start. A brand-new garage looks like perfect overflow storage, but summer temperatures inside a closed Las Vegas garage climb well past what candles, wine, photos, electronics, paint and pantry food can tolerate. We help you decide what belongs inside the conditioned house and what can safely live in the garage, with more on that in our guide to what not to store in a Las Vegas garage.
Fine desert dust also finds its way into new homes, especially while landscaping and neighboring lots are still under construction. Lidded bins for linens and seasonal items and closed storage for rarely used kitchen pieces keep things cleaner. Garage organizing itself runs mid-October through April, so a summer move-in may mean we set up the house now and book the garage organization for fall.
What new-home organizing costs
Projects start around $600 with a four-hour minimum, which suits a single kitchen or pantry setup. A whole new home typically takes one or more full days, and a typical full day of unpacking and setup starts around $1,800. Organizing products are an added cost only when the plan needs them.
Final cost depends on home size, how many boxes are coming, how much sorting is involved and team size. Our professional organizer cost guide explains each factor in more detail.
